Located inside the historic 300 year old Dutch Fort this is a large 5 bedroom house beautifully restored by interior designer Charles Hulse. |
| |
Deriving its name from its previous incarnation as the home of the Ambassador to Bangaldesh this grand house is set back from the narrow Dutch street and has a columned entrance with off-street parking and a small front lawn. |
| |
Entering the house through the high ceiling sitting room festooned with deep and comfortable sofas and objects d’art you arrive at a small inner garden courtyard which separates this front part of the house from the bedrooms and swimming pool. |
| |
Adjoining the dining room and kitchen is a small TV area that looks into the front garden contaning the long lap pool. 3 bedrooms overlook this swimming pool, all with ensuite bathrooms. At the far end stone steps lead up to a partially covered roof terrace with views over the roof tops of the historic Fort. The master suite and a further bedroom have private access to this roof terrace. |
| |
The house comes with a cook and steward as well as room ladies. |

Ambassador's is a large house, great for families and groups of friends with enough seating places to find a quiet spot in case of need. |
