About 2 hours north from the airport on the western shores a largely undiscovered and long beach hides the small village of Kalpitiya. The area is being developed by private interests and now boasts a small quirky boutique hotel that has a spectacular pool and the villa we have identifed below. A lot of hotels and villas aim to brand themselves as a hideaway or an escape but this villa now commands this accolade.
The additional draw to Kalpitiya lies in the warm ocean and comes in the form of hundreds of dolphin that jump and dance in the crystal waters. |
